Serving the Community

Over the years, the Lac du Bonnet & District Chamber of Commerce has been involved in numerous projects for the benefit of the Lac du Bonnet area. Here are a small sample of the Chamber's projects.

Ice Fishing Derby

Lac du Bonnet’s most popular winter event happens yearly in March and attracts 1100+ young and old fishing enthusiasts. The derby is designed on a hidden time and weight system giving all a equal chance at the $25,000+ in prizes. The 2009 - $10,000 grand prize winner was Cale David of Lac du Bonnet.

Incorporated in the Summer of 2009, the Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby Inc. is the official organization of the annual event. The Chamber of Commerce supports the derby by advertising the event on this website as a community public service.

Experience Lac du Bonnet Sign

The Experience Lac du Bonnet Sign on Highway 59 is a Chamber initiative. It helps direct those travelling on Highway #59 to our four season's Playground.

Lac du Bonnet Area Map

Every Spring the Lac du Bonnet & District Chamber of Commerce produces a full size map of the area. The map will be delivered to residents with The Clipper and is also available for pick up at The Clipper Box on 2nd street that day. Alternatively various businesses, or at the RM or Town offices are locations where you may obtain one. Please support the advertisers listed on the back, without whose contribution this initiative would not be possible. (Click to View)

Moonlight Madness

We have hosted the Moonlight Madness event in December where participating stores have remained open late to encourage local shopping for Christmas items with discounted pricing, and have provided opportunities to win prizes. Shopping locally benefits all of us, and we thank everyone for their support!

With the support of community organizations The Chamber will be organizing the annual Christmas Tree Lighting, and the arrival of Santa Claus.

Look Out Tower at Blueberry Rock

The Chamber of Commerce, through it's Tourism Action Committee and in cooperation with he R.M. of Lac du Bonnet, is responsible for the development of the Look Out Tower at Blueberry Rock.

Welcome to Lac du Bonnet Signs

The creation of two Welcome to Lac du Bonnet granite signs were erected: one on Hw y 11 and the other on Hwy 317, to help direct visitors to our beautiful town.

Beautification Contests

The Chamber has sponsored Beautification Contests to encourage businesses to decorate/beautify their establishments. In addition, The Chamber initiated the banners on the poles along the main roadways, which are decorative and informative.
