Recreation Equipment Lending Program

The RM of Lac du Bonnet is pleased to offer a free recreation equipment loaning program to the community, thanks to funds from the MB Safe at Home Program. To reserve equipment, please use the online form below. Please note that this does not confirm your reservation. Once we receive your submission we will review and follow up with an email confirming the rental.

We have a variety of equipment options available to borrow. 


Snow Fun Kit
Includes 2 toboggans, 2 saucers and snow toys.
Ice Fishing Kit

Includes 1 ice shelter, 4 bucket seats, 4 rods, 1 ice auger.

Skating Assists

For children aged 3-7 years. 

Kan Jam Game Set
Great Game for All Ages. Take turns getting the frisbee into the bin. Different types of hits receive different points. First player/team to 21 wins. Includes 2 bins, and 1 frisbee.

Lifejackets and Personal Floatation Devices

Available Sizes: 
  • Infant: 20-30 lbs
  • Child: 30-60 lbs
  • Youth: 60-90 lbs
  • Adult: 90+ lbs (Chest size: 30-52 inches)

Walking Poles
Includes carrying case and 2 adjustable poles. 



Foot Golf
Play a par 6 or create your own rules! Comes with 6 targets and one soccer ball.


Children's Game Kit

Includes a variety of card and board games. Targeted for children 5-13 years. Games include: Guess Who, Jenga, Mouse Trap, Connect Four, Operation, Candy Land, Trouble, Don’t Break the Ice and more!

Brain Teasers
A variety of wooden and metal puzzles. Also includes several  Himalayan puzzles. For youth/adults.

Available sizes:

Size 17: Weight 20-50 lbs Size 19: Weight 51-89 lbs

Ice Hockey Package

Includes two regulation-sized nets and a bucket of pucks.


The equipment is FREE to borrow.

At this time, we would like to keep this program accessible to all, and are not requiring a Damage Deposit upfront to loan equipment. However, if renters continue to take advantage of this option by returning damaged equipment, continuously being late with returns, renting and not picking up, etc. this policy is subject to change.  

Simply fill out the online form. Once we receive your submission, we ask that you allow 72 hours for us to respond to your inquiry. At this time our recreation department staff are only in the office part-time and may not respond to your submission immediately. Once we receive your email, we will follow up with confirmation for equipment and pickup dates/times.

Picking Up Equipment: 

Items are to be picked up for use on Wednesdays ( 8:30 am- 6:00 pm), Thursdays (8:30-4:30 pm) or Fridays (8:30-4:30 pm) All pick up and drop offs are to take place at the RM of Lac du Bonnet Municipal Office: #4187 MB-317, Lac du Bonnet.

Please note that we are closed all Statutory Holidays. If you are picking up equipment on Wednesday, after regular business hours (8:30-4:30), please come to the back of the Administrative Building, to the trailer for pickup. Knock on the trailer door and our staff will bring out your equipment. 


Returning Equipment: 

All equipment is to be returned no later than the following Tuesday after pick-up date. This will allow us time to sanitize and clean items before other pickups begin on Wednesdays. 

In the event that equipment is lost, damaged or not returned, the renter will be responsible for replacing the item(s) at full retail value. 

YES! However, we ask that you do the following before dropping off any equipment at our office: 

  1. Equipment MUST BE in good working function. No missing pieces, no rips/tears, etc. 
  2. Please note we do not accept clothing items, such as jerseys, cups, gymnastics/dance outfits, etc. 
  3. We do accept items such as balls, nets, rackets, etc. 
  4. Contact us about your equipment prior to bringing into the office. We will confirm whether the item will be accepted and if we have space for it at this time. Please email our Recreation Director at: recreation@lacdubonnet.com
