2023 Eastern District Municipal Golf Tournament

We are happy to be hosting the 2023 Eastern District Municipal Golf Tournament on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the beautiful Granite Hills Golf Club.

The golf tournament is a fun day on the links that allows municipalities in the eastern region of Manitoba to network on an informal basis with businesses, corporations, suppliers, and other levels of government. It’s always a day of excellent golf, great prizes, great food, and an opportunity to meet new friends and connect with old ones.

After hosting the 2020 and 2021 tournaments while ensuring appropriate physical distancing was maintained and all public health orders were adhered to, we are excited to again host and to invite you to fun-filled day golfing and networking.

Again, the tournament will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023. Registration will be at 9:30 a.m. with tee off (a Texas scramble shotgun start) scheduled for 11 a.m.

The registration fee is $130 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, cart rental (two golfers per cart), a mid-round lunch on the course, a post-golf grab-and-go dinner, and a chance to win various prizes in longest drive, straightest drive, and closest-to-the-pin competitions. For an extra fee, you can also take part in putting and chipping challenges.

An online registration form is below. Please register by June 30, 2023 as space is limited to the first 40 teams that register (four golfers/team).

Colby is a young man in the RM undergoing treatment for cancer, and the funds were given to his family to help cover his treatment-related expenses and the family's travel-related costs.

The surplus funds from our 2021 tournament — in the amount of $6,296.60 — were equally distributed to the Lac du Bonnet Foundation and the family of Colby McGill.
